New offerings in Viking's Sprinkler Line

Viking Freedom® Residential Concealed Pendent Sprinkler VK498 is a small thermosensitive, glass-bulb residential sprinkler designed for installation on concealed pipe systems where the appearance of a smooth ceiling is desired. The orifice design, with a K-factor of 5.8 (83.6), allows the sprinkler’s efficient use of available water supplies for the hydraulically designed fire-protection system. The fast response glass bulb operating element and special deflector characteristics meet the challenges of residential sprinkler standards.

The Viking Corporation offers us an improved CULus approval for their VK950 COIN® quick response model with a K-factor of 5.6. This enhancement allows the VK950 vertical nozzle to protect up to 2 000 square feet, in hidden combustible spaces, doubling the previous limit. This often makes the VK950 an interesting replacement for more costly competitive jets, with stricter requirements.
